No matter which city they chose, people who attended 2003 Annual Meeting of The Mother Church & Conference found registrars and greeters happy to welcome them. Since Annual Meeting had been held in the Extension of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, many times, the building and its lovely interior were familiar to most people. But the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin, Germany, was a new venue—one that was transformed in a mere 18 hours from a basketball court to a meeting hall, as the pictures (far right, inset) show.
Given the international audience, translators worked in seven languages to provide the message for attendees. Headsets allowed participants to tune in to whichever language they wanted, or even to switch between languages, as desired.
New friends and old ones met and celebrated the opportunity to spend three days learning about spirituality and its healing power.
