Ron Mangelsdorf, “The feeling is the healing,” Journal, October 2024
What a wonder-filled experience showing how we can all look expectantly for signs of God’s power and perfection. A bright light in the sky is not just reserved for the biblical nativity story. This so encourages us to expect to see signs of God in our own experience.

What a wonderful article. I seemed to be struggling with despair over some things going on around me, which I knew God had to clear up for me. This article was a huge help and I’m most grateful to have it come to me to read.

Tom McElroy, “How to promote Christian Science: Use your ‘talent,’ ” Journal, August 2024
This article was awakening for me. I’d also assumed the value of the talents was a small amount. When it was described as about twenty years’ income, I found that fascinating. I shared this with my husband, and he asked, “Does that change the meaning of the parable to you?” I thought for a moment and answered, “Yes!” I realized that if someone gave me twenty years of income, I might be the one to bury it. It was a wake-up call that our talents need to be invested and multiplied because of the great value to others, and we would not want to withhold that blessing. What God has given us is just too valuable to keep to ourselves. Knowing and appreciating this great value helps support me in the sharing of talents, or letting my light shine. Thank you for the simple but powerful insight.

Appreciation of the Journal
I genuinely appreciate the Journal. I read the whole Journal, and Christian Science Sentinel, every time. As I read the June issue, I wrote “Wow!” on several articles, and other notations on others that I found to be particularly inspiring, etc. Of course, I love all the Journals and Sentinels and find much inspiration and spiritual understanding in all of them. They are priceless to my husband’s and my demonstration of Christian Science.
