Of Good Report

My step-by-step triumphs with God

From the March 2024 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Years ago, I was driving my car, when I had a stroke and crashed into a utility truck. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the utility workers called an ambulance and my husband. I was in shock and unable to speak, but I felt fine and had no pain. Everyone who helped me before my husband arrived expressed so much kindness, and I was very grateful. My husband called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with us. Step by step, day by day, I learned God was right there, caring for me and my family.

When this incident occurred, our family was in the process of moving from Boston to Minneapolis, and the move needed to happen within a month. Acknowledging that God, divine Love, was governing our lives, we found that each need was met. My husband helped me, tended to the kids, and continued with the move along with the help of our best friends. He, our four kids (ages three to sixteen), and I, plus our family dog, all successfully moved to our new home.

Step by step, day by day, I learned God was right there, caring for me and my family.
