Ever Yours

I would be a wheat seed gathered in Your barn.
I would be a woolly lamb carried in Your arms.
I would be a lily fresh, clothed beyond compare,
Ever Yours, always Yours,
Ever safe from harm.

I will follow closely, helped by staff and rod.
I will seek You only, know no other god.
I will keep my hand in Yours, hear Your loving voice,
Ever Yours, always Yours,
Ever with my God.

In Your house in safety, we dwell every day.
At Your table spread with grace, we with joy shall pray.
More than this we cannot ask, more there cannot be:
Ever Yours, always Yours,
Ever with You stay.

We are Your beloved; we Your image true.
We the branches, Christ the Vine, ever one with You.
We adore and are adored; in You, live and move,
Ever Yours, always Yours,
Ever one with You.
