Dear Friend,
After a recent phone call in which a friend and I had discussed a number of issues, ringing in my thought was a yearning to consider more deeply this question: What truly brings about effective healing (for ourselves, for others, and for the world)? It was through that lens that I read this issue.
I was inspired by these quotes regarding healing work from the Christian Science Board of Directors’ section of the report on this year’s Annual Meeting of The First Church of Christ, Scientist: “We’re . . . listening for the Christ, Truth, with the expectation that what the Christ is saying can happen.” “As we work, let’s know that we are empowered by the Christ—by the Comforter, divine Science—to do the winning work that God requires of us all.” “Is the smallest truth we know mightier than the greatest lie evil claims to ever have told? Yes, always. Is love the work that works? Yes, always.”
