Testimonies of Healing

Two or three years before hearing of Christian Science I had ceased to attend church, and had also lost faith in materia medica during an illness which two doctors failed to diagnose. I had frequent attacks of pain, which usually kept me in bed for three or four days at a time.

One morning, about two years ago, my mother awoke with a very severe pain in her head, and did not seem able to remember things clearly. We were very much alarmed, but did not send for a physician.

For the past three years I have been attending the meetings of the Christian Science church and reading the works of Mrs. Eddy; and I wish to express my gratitude for the good I have received.

One who has felt the touch of infinite Love finds it hard to express his gratitude in words. I can never begin to tell the half of what Christian Science has done for me, but shall at least try, thereby hoping to lead some weary wanderer in the wilderness of earthly thinking to the light, as revealed in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I wish to express my gratitude to Christian Science for the help I receive daily through the study of the Lesson-Sermons and all the authorized literature. It is eight years since I began the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Three years ago I was recovering from a broken hip, running sores, and a large tumorous growth, which together had tended to make me rather disagreeable. I had read the Bible all my life with the ordinary understanding of it, and had thought I should have to resign myself to my afflictions, until Christian Science was brought to my notice.

For the many healings we have had in our home, one of which my wife relates in the foregoing testimony, we have unbounded gratitude. Since taking up the study of Christian Science we have experienced untold blessings: our home is happier and more harmonious; the children are sturdy and healthy; and I personally have found Christian Science to be a wonderful help in business, meeting with success in all problems relating to supply, service, brotherly love, and the like.

With a desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and with the thought of helping others to be free from physical ills, I take great pleasure in sending in my testimony for publication. For ten years I suffered untold agonies from what the doctors called inflammatory rheumatism, which would lay me up for three or four months each year.

It is over two years since we first heard of Christian Science as a method of healing. Material means had been exhausted for our six months' old baby girl, and we expected her to pass on at any time.

Since childhood manifold blessings have come to me through Christian Science. The teachings in the Sunday school stand out clearly.
