Testimonies of Healing

I should like to add my testimony to the many helpful ones that appear in the Journal and Sentinel. My first healing, of stomach trouble, was accomplished by just reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy.

There is a beautiful sentence on page 516 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which is as follows: "The sunlight glints from the churchdome dome glances into the prison-cell, glides into the sick-chamber, brightens the flower, beautifies the landscape blesses the earth. " This passage held my attention, when studying recently, and I would like to tell why.

Christian Science has done so much for me that I feel I should express my gratitude. It has healed me of stomach trouble of long standing, of constipation, and of superstition; and fear of the future and worry are gradually passing into their native nothingness.

Constant seeking for and striving to understand the things of Spirit, as revealed in Christian Science, have brought into my life a measure of peace and harmony never before experienced. On beginning to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, through mere curiosity, the very first sentence in its Preface inspired the desire, and hope that therein I might gain an understanding of the availability of God in time of need.

Hoping that it may help some one as I have been helped I send this testimony. I have been healed of many forms of fear through the understanding of God as taught in Christian Science.

I Feel it my duty to give my testimony of God's provision for and protection of His children. One morning in January, 1920, my wife informed me that we had no more bread, and that she did not know what to give our six children to eat.

I have often wanted to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me. Since I have found it, it has been my only comfort and joy.

With a heart full of gratitude I give this testimony in the hope that it may help another seeker after Truth. For a year I suffered from stomach trouble and nervous spells, which finally became daily occurrences, and the physicians whom I consulted were unable to do anything further for me.

I wish to add my testimony to others in gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I took it up after trying everything else that had been recommended for my troubles, which were too numerous to mention.

As an expression of gratitude and a possible help to some one else, I wish to tell of a healing experienced about a year ago. An attack of neuritis came upon me at night, robbing me of sleep and disabling one of my arms.
