Testimonies of Healing
When conditions have seemed especially tumultuous, the words, "Be still, and know that I am God,"' have helped and sustained me. My first healing through Christian Science was of grief which had resulted in intense suffering that was sapping my strength.
I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. Sickness, accidents, the fear of accidents, sensitiveness, shortage of supply, and other forms of discord have been overcome by Christian Science.
I wish to express my gratitude for even the little understanding I have of Christian Science and for the many ways in which I, as well as my mother and sister, have been benefited. I was first healed of a terrible temper, as well as of the smoking habit, although I did not come to Science for healing of either one of these two, and I never missed them until the family noticed the change and remarked about it.
I can never express in words the gratitude I feel for the understanding of God which I have gained through the study of Christian Science. Many are the blessings which have come to me and mine through this understanding.
I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. At the time I took up the study I was very unhappy, restless, easily discouraged, and full of fear.
For eight years I have been a reader of the Sentinel and Journal, and, the testimonies having been a great help at all times, I write mine to glorify God and to help some one who may be looking for the healing truth, just as I was. I came to Christian Science for physical healing and received it.
The study of Christian Science has enabled me to be a better woman. I have been healed of malignant tumors, also of cuts, burns, and numerous other ailments, through Christian Science.
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the benefits I have received through Christian Science, not only for the physical healing, but for the spiritual awakening, for thought uplifted from the false sense of self. At the time Christian Science was presented to me I was practically an invalid, unable to do my own work, and was most miserable indeed, a physical wreck, and without hope.
Two years ago, when Spanish influenza first broke out on the Pacific coast, I was attending college. I knew at this time that a student of Christian Science had nothing to fear, so after I had declared the truth as we understand it in Christian Science, I dismissed the thought of Spanish influenza and went about my college work as usual.
I wish to express gratitude for the good we have realized through Christian Science. Man's extremity was God's opportunity in my case.
