Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science was presented to me several years before I recognized it as the truth. In my early study the reading of the testimonies was a great help to me, and I am sending these words of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me with the hope that they may be a help to some one seeking the truth.

I should like to add my testimony to the many that are constantly bearing witness to the efficacy of Christian Science in daily life. Whenever correctly applied it never fails to meet every need.

It is with a sense of deep gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy that I give this testimony in proof of what Christian Science has done for me.

In gratitude for the many blessings which I have received through the study of Christian Science I send this testimony, with the hope that it may help others. Before taking up the study of Christian Science I was most unhappy and miserable, going from one place to another in search of health and happiness, only to be disappointed.

After devoting several years, which to mortal sense seemed the best years of my life, to conscientious work as a materia medica nurse, I found myself struggling with the belief of a false law which was manifested in many phases of error. The argument was made very real "that there was very little if anything that could be done for one who was worn out in such service.

It is more than two years since we took up the study of Christian Science in our home, for which we have reason to be most grateful. Although I was reared in a Christian home I never felt fully satisfied and at times felt almost rebellious toward God.

I have been studying and applying the rule of scientific healing given by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" for eight years, and have been healed of acute indigestion, rheumatism, headaches, and many minor ills, some with the help of a practitioner and others through the truth that had come to me through my own spiritual understanding.

It is with deep gratitude that I wish to testify to all the help that I have received and am daily receiving through the study of Christian Science. When I first heard of this wonderful truth some years ago, I was at once attracted by the spiritual teaching but did not at first think much about the healing of disease, which is, as I very soon found out, a natural sequence of the righteous thinking that one learns to do in Christian Science.

I am indeed grateful for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. When Christian Science came to me, my little boy and I were greatly in need of help.

The following experience of the instantaneous availability of Christian Science has given me much encouragement, and I relate it in the hope that it will help some one else. Although I have made a daily study of Christian Science for eleven years, I have time and again allowed myself to abstain from attempting a demonstration of its healing power in cases of physical ailments, although I often received help from practitioners for both myself and family.
