Testimonies of Healing
It is about six years since I first came to Christian Science. I was a great user of liquor and tobacco, but thanks be to God this healing truth freed me from these habits in three treatments.
With a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science I offer the following testimony to its healing and saving efficacy. On the advice of my physician I went to the mountains in the hope that the change would do for me what medicine had failed to accomplish.
About eight years ago this spring I turned very earnestly to Christian Science. For five years I had owned the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
When I first attended Wednesday evening meetings at a Christian Science church, it seemed to my impatient state of thought that every one who spoke began by saying, "For twenty years.
I have known of Christian Science for eight years and a half and have no recollection of any other religion, because I was only a child when my mother began her study of the textbook, ''Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and started me in the Sunday school.

A sense of deep gratitude compels me to tell of some of the wonderful blessings we have received since Christian Science came to our home. It is nine years since I first had treatment, at a time when joy, hope, and life itself had almost failed me.
As a boy I received my early religious training from good Christian parents, but when still in high school I began to lose confidence in their religion, because it did not give me the spiritual food for which I longed. At the age of twenty I went out into the world, and it was not long before I began to drift with the class that was seeking whatever enjoyment might be found in material pleasures.
About three years and a half ago my attention was brought to Christian Science by a few copies of the Sentinel sent me by a friend, and after reading them I sent for the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, hoping to find light on the Scriptures, but after reading it nearly through 1 laid it aside, feeling more hopelessly mixed up than ever.
