Testimonies of Healing

As the children of Israel were led through the wilderness, at first understanding not the way they journeyed, but later perceiving their unerring guide, the pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night, so have I been led by divine Love; but like the Israelites of old I did not at first realize that each step was taking me nearer to the promised land—the revelation of the facts of being. After gaining a slight acquaintance with the subject of Christian Science through occasional reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

I have been interested in Christian Science for fourteen years and would like to express my gratitude for the many blessings it has brought into my life. The overcoming of nervous prostration in its worst form, and the healing of a badly sprained ankle, an infected finger, a severe burn on the foot, and a serious attack of influenza, are some of the benefits received.

In gratitude for the physical, moral, and spiritual blessings and the protection experienced since I began the study of Christian Science eleven and a half years ago, I send this testimony. For years so-called relaxed ligaments of the knee caps, also a bowel disorder, were the cause of much discomfort; indeed, fear of the knee caps slipping was beginning to curtail active movement.

At the birth of a fifteen-pound boy, a very serious condition set in and my life was despaired of. After long years of suffering I went to a hospital and had an operation performed.

At a Christian Science lecture the speaker said there were some people who claimed they could not understand Christian Science. He then quoted from Matthew as follows: "And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

It is about six years since I first came to Christian Science. I was a great user of liquor and tobacco, but thanks be to God this healing truth freed me from these habits in three treatments.

With a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science I offer the following testimony to its healing and saving efficacy. On the advice of my physician I went to the mountains in the hope that the change would do for me what medicine had failed to accomplish.
