Testimonies of Healing

With a heart full of gratitude and love I testify to the numerous benefits received since gaining a little understanding of this healing truth. The study of Christian Science has been of the greatest help to me during the last four years.

Through  the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy I have been healed of chronic stomach disorder and of severe headaches.

Ten years ago I was healed through Christian Science of severe backache, said to have been brought about by diseased kidneys. I had looked for relief through material remedies, but was not helped much by any of them.

I have had many wonderful healings through the study of Christian Science. In September, 1914, I went to a practitioner and asked for help, as I had tried well-nigh everything that mortal man could invent but got no help.

When I was asked why I did not try Christian Science, I was about to undergo an operation for the removal of an abnormal growth which for two years had caused me great suffering. I accepted the invitation to participate in the reading of the Lesson-Sermon at the home of the questioner.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the many blessings received through the study of Christian Science. We are grateful that the sense of fear and doubt vanishes as we lay hold on the verities of eternal truth.

For the daily blessings that are mine as the result of the understanding thus far gained of Christian Science, I wish to express my gratitude. Through faithful study and obedience to its teachings as found in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

About five years ago I experienced my first healing through Christian Science, when a serious attack of peritonitis was overcome in a few treatments. Since that time Christian Science has been the means of making my whole life over, replacing discord with harmony, strife with peace, wrong with right; and it is constantly eliminating the false from the true.

It was my privilege to experience the effects of God's infinite love and ever-present help on a recent occasion, when I expected to sing at a concert. Two days before this concert, and just after an attack of hay fever had been overcome, I became afflicted with such soreness of the throat that singing appeared to be out of the question.

Since becoming interested in Christian Science some few years ago, I have had many beautiful experiences of the healing of both mind and body, including physical troubles from which I had suffered since childhood. These did not all disappear from thought without some effort on my part to realize their nothingness; in fact there have been periods of doubt and discouragement, but through the help of others at times, and with my own desire to know and understand God better, the old ailments have faded away into their native nothingness.
