
Testimonies of Healing
Christian Science is the greatest blessing that has come into my life. When it was brought to my notice about four years ago, I accepted it with an open mind and heart, never once doubting the statements made by my sister.
Over two years ago I began to read Science and Health to get some idea of what Christian Science teaches, but with no intention of accepting it. It did not take long to convince me that Christian Scientists not merely believe but know the truth about God and man.
In the ten years that I have been a student of Christian Science I have had many proofs of its healing and regenerating power. This study was not taken up for physical healing, but through reading Science and Health I was healed of inflamatory rheumatism, to which I had been subject for years.
IT is impossible for me adequately to express my deep gratitude for the blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science. My life has been changed from one of sickness, sorrow, and anxiety, to one of health, joy, and peace.
It is with a sense of duty and gratitude that I send my testimony, with the hope that it may benefit some one who is looking for relief from physical suffering. At the age of seventy-two I was stricken for the third time with a severe attack of gall-stones, and my suffering was indescribable.
It is a deep sense of gratitude to God that prompts me to tell of the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. All that I am and all that I have I owe to this blessed truth.
It is now about five years since I took up the study of Christian Science, and to say that I am grateful for the benefits received is to put it mildly, I have been healed of stomach, kidney, liver, and bowel trouble. There was also a bunch in my right side that caused me much pain and distress.
When I came to Christian Science for help I was a nervous wreck. Six months had been spent in two different sanitariums, where treatment was received from four physicians, also from two specialists, but without any benefit.
I would like to express my gratitude to our Leader for the many benefits that have come to me through Christian Science, in which I became interested through the influence of a lady who was rooming in my home. She was a Scientist, and seemed to be happy and to love every one.
