Testimonies of Healing

It was not for the physical healing that I came to Christian Science. There was one memorable day in my life when a prayer went out from my heart with a yearning I had never before experienced, asking for the truth to be revealed as God, the source of truth, would have me know it; and this desire remained with me until I was led into Christian Science, when I felt that it had been answered.

Through Christian Science I have been enabled to leave off glasses which had been worn for sixteen years, and have been healed of partial deafness. The condition of my feet was such that I could not wear shoes all day, and could not walk any distance without suffering.

The psalmist says, "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High. " Surely it is a good thing for me to express with deepfelt love to God my gratitude for the blessings which I am receiving daily through the understanding of Christian Science gained from a study of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

Christian Science is the only form of religious teaching which I have ever embraced, having been educated in its precepts from the time I was five years of age. I have always accepted as a matter of course the fundamentals of this truth, and would have looked with amazement upon the presence of a doctor in our household.

The truth of the words, "Man's extremity is God's opportunity," was made clear to me when the hour seemed darkest. My little son, a strong, healthy child, became suddenly very ill with stomach and intestinal trouble, accompanied by nervousness and irritability.

With a deep sense of gratitude and a song of praise to the one God, I lovingly give my testimony as to the power of Christian Science to heal. For years I was in bondage to a so-called organic disease, and at different times was under the care of physicians, but with only temporary relief.

Christian Science came into our home about six years ago. Since that time each member of the family has been healed of numerous difficulties through the better understanding of God and our relationship to Him as taught in Science and Health.

Christian Science was presented to me about twelve years ago, while I was visiting at the home of a relative who had been healed through its teachings. She told me of her experience and I became very much interested, feeling sure that this teaching was just what I wanted, as I was suffering from stomach trouble, headache, also weak eyes for which glasses had been worn for three years.

Some years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a friend, who brought the good news to one who needed it very much. I started to read the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

It is with deep sense of thankfulness to God for all His loving-kindnesses that I give this testimony of healing. When riding my bicycle in a park, I met with a mishap.
