Testimonies of Healing

The understanding of God as taught in Christian Science has brought untold blessings into our lives. A few years ago, when almost passing away with heart trouble, I was instantly healed through the power of Truth.

For eighteen years I was addicted to the use of morphine and liquor and went through all the suffering attendant on those habits, but with less than two months of Christian Science treatment I was completely healed, and have since had further opportunity to prove that Truth is indeed able to save to the uttermost. I wish to tell of a demonstration for which I am indeed thankful. Before coming into Christian Science I was subject to attacks of throat trouble, and the last spell kept me very ill for five weeks, under medical treatment.

It is with a great sense of thankfulness to God our Father and to Christ Jesus the Wayshower, as well as gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, that my testimony is given.

When I first heard of Christian Science I was in need of help in every way. A copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

The Master said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. " Through Christian Science I have experienced the truth of these words, in that it has brought me, together with health and regeneration, the joy and bliss of knowing the true God, who healeth and comforteth us.

I have been a student of Christian Science for about five years, and during that time have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of this wonderful truth, for which I am very grateful. A severe bowel disorder which had troubled me since childhood has been overcome, and glasses which had been worn for several years on account of weak eyes were discarded when I came into Science.

When Christian Science first came to me I was suffering from a belief of sorrow and great loneliness; also the problem of having to make my own living was before me and caused a great deal of fear and worry, as I had been tenderly reared and did not know which way to turn. About this time a sister was healed by Christian Science treatment.

I am indeed grateful for the blessings that have come to me through the study and application of the truths taught in Christian Science. Five years ago a malignant growth, for which an operation had been recommended by our family physician, was removed through the power of divine Love.

In Isaiah we read, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters. " How grateful I am that I have found the way to drink of these living waters! For years I lived a happy-go-lucky life, quite satisfied with things as they were.
