Testimonies of Healing

In November, 1910, I was attacked by a sudden illness which confined me to the bed. All indications pointed to an acute case of appendicitis.

I thank God that I am able to testify to the healing of my dear husband through Christian Science. He was ill from what was called meningitis, and after being unconscious for four weeks the doctors said they could do no more for him, and that he must be put under restraint.

It is now several years since I went to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment for a chronic bowel difficulty. For more than thirty years I had been a sufferer, taking remedies for this ailment from the very best physicians, both here and elsewhere, but they afforded me only temporary relief; in fact, my condition was even worse after using their remedies.

I came into Christian Science for the physical healing. I had been a church-member for a number of years, but as I grew older and began to think more for myself, I became very much dissatisfied with that belief.

I wish to tell of some of the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. I had been an invalid for about twenty-five years, taking medicine every day.

For over two years I had suffered almost continuously from severe pain in my left side. I also had stomach disorder, and everything I ate caused severe pain.

With a heart filled with gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me and mine, I am impelled to send this testimony of the power of God to heal. In the spring of 1912 I had an attack of erysipelas which started on the nose one Tuesday afternoon and developed so rapidly that it was necessary to get a substitute to take my place at the Wednesday evening service.

Christian Science brings out and is governed by the one great fact that God is All-in-all. I feel that I owe it to God and to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science to tell how it has been proven to me that God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient Mind.

I want to give a testimony to what Christian Science has done and is doing for me every day. My healing seems most wonderful to me, and our doctor, who had given me up, said he thought Christian Science was one of the grandest things on earth.
