Testimonies of Healing

I wish to express my gratitude for all the good which I have received through Christian Science. For several years I suffered from gall-stones, the attacks being often very severe.

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for Christian Science for what it has done for me. It has made a complete change in me, something which two years ago I would call an impossible thing to do.

Seven years ago Christian Science found me suffering in mind and body, several operations previous to this time having failed to give me relief. Another was decided upon, and this called forth much fear and worry, which increased the physical suffering.

When Christian Science found me, I had been a sufferer thirty-five years. I was said to have contracted hip disease when a child of five, and although my father spared no expense in seeking my restoration to health, and the best medical advice was obtained, yet day after day I grew worse.

It is from a heart overflowing with thankfulness to God that I tell of some of my experiences since I first learned of Christian Science. About three years ago my daughter who lives in London wrote and begged me to try this healing truth, as she had a friend who had been completely cured by it.

I am sincerely grateful for unexpected relief from physical suffering and from moral and spiritual darkness, and I wish to testify to the inestimable benefits which Christian Science has brought to me; also to express my heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Eddy for giving to suffering and bewildered humanity her wondrous work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

It is my desire to add my testimony as to the results of a radical reliance upon God for healing power. Until I understood something of Christian Science, I had been a semi-invalid for seven years, and never quite well.

Christian Science came to me at a time of great need, when a nervous collapse and a stomach trouble were making existence almost unbearable. After a long period of slavery to drugs, diet, and exercise, my condition was much more serious than at the beginning of my illness, and my thoughts were dominated by grief, worry, fear, and discouragement.

It is with sincere gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me that I give my testimony. About thirteen years ago I was attacked with spinal meningitis, from which I did not fully recover.

FOR many years life had been full of disappointment and loss, and one night, over four years ago, things seemed to have reached a climax. In a state of utter hopelessness and with a deep yearning for something beyond and above my past experience, I went out into the garden alone.
