Testimonies of Healing
Words are inadequate to pay the debt of gratitude I owe to Christian Science, or to Mrs. Eddy its Discoverer.
Christian Science has been so much to me the past two years, that I hardly know how to begin to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received. I was healed over nine years ago of lung trouble, with complications of kidney disease and rheumatism.
About two years ago I was taken with a severe attack of illness. I was suffering very much with pain in my lungs and had great difficulty in breathing, when a Christian Science friend called to see me.
I have long felt it a duty, after receiving so many benefits from Christian Science, to tell something of what it has done for me. About ten years ago.
Having received so much benefit through Christian Science, I think it is time that I made some acknowledgment of what God through this truth has done for me. I first heard of it six or seven years ago.
I desire to express my gratitude for the many benefits I have received since I became interested in Christian Science. I sincerely hope that my testimony may help others who are in the same slough of despond that I was, and who are trying to find a way out.
Over two years ago I was brought to Christian Science for the healing of a most severe attack of nervous and mental illness. It seemed that there was only misery for myself and all those around me.
I was an invalid for years and bedfast about six years. I cannot realize any one's suffering more than I did.
I wish to add my testimony of the great benefits which I and my family have received, both physically and mentally, from Christian Science. Some three years ago I commenced to suffer very acute pains in the stomach, so upon my last visit to England I had myself thoroughly overhauled by a first-class physician, who diagnosed the ailment as a case of gall-stones.
Before I knew anything about Christian Science, I was an invalid: in fact, had been all my life. When I reached the age of fourteen I became very weak, and found myself bedfast.
