Testimonies of Healing
The greatest gift one can give a child is surely to teach him of the love of God and to let him actually see how a genuine knowledge of God and of man's relationship to Him will be a blessing and a benefit. I had the experience of being reared in a home where Christian Science was studied and practiced.
I am most grateful to attest to the probity of the testimony written by my husband. We were attending the same Christian Science Sunday School when he had the experience with the fire, which resulted in burns that covered the greater part of both legs.
For over fifty years the practice of Christian Science has met my every need. My parents were introduced to Science by some neighbors when my younger brother was seriously ill with pneumonia.
To me the most wonderful thing in the world is knowing that no matter what problem confronts us, we have in Christian Science a practical, provable way to bring about healing—here and now. The only place we can find real answers is in divine Truth, which Science brings to light.
Most of my healings in Christian Science have been in the areas of smoking and drinking, minor physical difficulties, and everyday life challenges. My faith in God and my understanding of Science had not been severely tried until a few years ago.
My heritage in Christian Science since birth has been the foundation for my free choice to be an active Christian Scientist and to utilize its precepts as a guide for living my life. It was the support of my parents through their active practice of Christian Science and their steadfast examples in the home that made for my harmonious and enriching childhood.
