Testimonies of Healing

About twenty-five years ago, Christian Science changed my way of thought, thereby blessing my whole life! I began to study Christian Science to cure my grief when my parents passed away two years apart. Membership in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and The Mother Church followed within two years, and then I prayed for the next important step, class instruction.

With sincere gratitude for Mrs. Eddy's spiritual discernment and dedicated life, I once again testify to the many blessings that her teachings have brought me.

My parents were adherents of Christian Science before my birth. Consequently, I was taught in the Christian Science Sunday School until the age of twenty.

Since coming into Christian Science I have had sufficient proof to satisfy myself that God has cared for me throughout my life. For many years, almost from my birth, I had to face innumerable difficulties.

I submit this testimony of healing to share with others my victory over error in the hope that they will receive strength to persevere in the face of difficult problems. Off and on for a period of ten years I struggled with an unsightly and uncomfortable skin condition on my hands.

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" ( Ps. 107:2 ).

Christian Science has been a beacon all my life and the only religion I have known. In retrospect I can see its protective influence.

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits" ( Ps. 103:2 ).

I consider having been raised in Christian Science a precious legacy from my mother. It proved to be a firm basis for much-needed spiritual development, enabling me to overcome difficulties in the ensuing years.

I am unspeakably grateful to my dear mother who was the first of our family to become a student of Christian Science. At the time, I was in my teens and an active member of a church of my own choice, although I had begun to wonder if this was all that was required to "enter into the kingdom of heaven.
