Testimonies of Healing
While my mother was on a visit to Denmark in 1933, Christian Science was presented to her and she started to study it. After coming back to Argentina and living in a place where communications were difficult, and not knowing of any other student, she discontinued her study.
Christian Science has provided me with ample proof of its healing power. In Science and Health Mrs.
"Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action. " So writes the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 454 in Science and Health.
My grandmother first presented Christian Science to my family, and over the years I have witnessed and experienced many physical healings. However, I would like to relate here something of quite a different nature.
With heartfelt gratitude to God, I wish to testify to an instance of the overcoming of the lie of lies, the belief of death. I have been a student of Christian Science for many years and have always turned to its teachings for help, and on numerous occasions I have received awakening thoughts, which have brought about healing results.
In the search for a rational, comprehensive, pure religion for my two small boys, I found Christian Science. Before this happened, I took them to many Sunday Schools in a large city where we resided.
To encourage others as to the healing efficacy of Christian Science, this testimony is sincerely given. Prior to this experience, during the twenty-six years that I had been applying the teachings of Christian Science, I had witnessed many healings and blessings in our home.
I grew up enjoying good health and from a material standpoint had the necessary strength to work and play games for very long hours without becoming fatigued. When I joined a large company, I passed the necessary medical examination with no problems, and after working for them a short time was given holidays and went to my father's farm to help him.
When I was in my teens, Christian Science was presented to me, but it was not until several years after I married that I really took up the study in earnest; but the seed had been sown. During the intervening years, my husband was in a hospital for two months, and during that time I was sustained by what I read from a copy of Science and Health by Mrs.
I am grateful that I can testify to the fact that Christian Science heals. I started to use intoxicants about 1912.
