No matter at what point an individual appears to be in his study of Christian Science, he may avail himself of the great protective and supporting power of God. From the age of four years I attended the Christian Science Sunday School.
Christian Science has been a source of continuing health, harmony, and prosperity to me and my family ever since I can remember. In the hope that someone else will be encouraged to persist in study I humbly offer the following.
My gratitude is unbounded for the many blessings received through Christian Science, to God for His ever-presence and loving guidance, for Christ Jesus, our Wayshower and for Mary Baker Eddy's unselfed love in giving this great gift to all mankind. A few years after World War II, I found myself without a job.
I have long wanted to give a testimony I hope will be a source of help to others. Some time ago I was knocked down by a van while crossing the road and was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
For many years I have been reading testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel. They have brought much inspiration and encouragement.
In 1935, I was suffering greatly from depression brought on by various unpleasant events in my immediate surroundings. My unhappiness appeared to have reached its peak, when a family who were students of Christian Science came to visit me.
"God" and "Christian Science" are precious words to me. Many times when I have been in dire circumstances I have called aloud to God and have been instantaneously protected.
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and all the benefits I have received in the past forty years. Before we learned of this blessed Science, the doctor informed my husband he could do no more for me.
My childhood and adolescence were spent in terrible suffering, manifold and almost continuous. Here I will mention only that which relates to my eyes.
