Testimonies of Healing
I shall ever be grateful for the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School from childhood up to the time I was inducted into the United States Army during World War II. At that time I learned to use wonderful truths, and they sustained me throughout the experience.
It is with great gratitude that I write of the efficacy of Christian Science in the healing of broken bones. Although the study and application of this Science have met and healed many discordant conditions all through my life, I am especially grateful for its ability to heal broken bones quickly and efficiently.
It would take many pages for me to testify fully to the infinite blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. I had the privilege of being raised in Christian Science. My childhood was joyous and free.
Approximately twenty-six years ago I was introduced to Christian Science. For many months I had been suffering with sinus trouble.
I have decided at last to submit a testimony for the periodical I love so much, The Herald of Christian Science . Even when I was a child, the figure of a herald in stories, as a proclaimer of glad tidings or as a messenger who alerted people, seemed ideal to me.
I have had the wonderful privilege of studying Christian Science since childhood. My mother came into Science after witnessing the healing of her sister.
I had been in a condition of invalidism for more than four years due to a disease of the spinal column called tuberculosis of the bones. I suffered much pain from this disease when I attempted to stand.
The inner joy one experiences when living the truths of Christian Science is so far beyond any human happiness that it is sometimes difficult to find words to express this sense of dominion. The greatest step forward in my spiritual progress was class instruction.
When I was a year old, my mother was bedridden and very ill with a thyroid condition. Several medical specialists gave her six months to live.
