Testimonies of Healing
I was about seven years old when my mother first became interested in Christian Science. She was quickly healed of a chronic internal disorder of many years' standing by reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.
With a heart filled with gratitude to God and for Christian Science, which has again brought us the glad tidings of Christ-healing, I tell of a healing I experienced in 1966. I had climbed onto a chair in order to take down a rather highly-placed vase.
The study of Christian Science is a thrilling, exciting, and rousing experience! A similar statement was made by a Christian Science practitioner, who helped me receive a healing. I had studied Christian Science but through tangled circumstances had turned to medical doctors for treatment.
Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have received more blessings than I can enumerate here. From the beginning I had no preconceived idea of Christian Science, and took up the study with a receptive thought.
Having been raised in Christian Science, I had the benefit of its great blessings while growing up. My mother, a consecrated student of Christian Science, took care of any problems I had.
My mother was a Christian Scientist for a number of years before she married, and she enrolled me at a very young age in the Christian Science Sunday School. I remember learning the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and loving the Bible stories.
The following healing proved to me that the Christ, Truth, alone heals. When I was seven years old, a painful and alarming condition manifested itself in my ankle.
I am very grateful for my long years of membership in The Mother Church and branch churches and also for the inestimable privilege of class teaching and the aftercare of the teacher. My love and deep gratitude go out to God, our Father, for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mrs.
I wish to express my love and gratitude for the life and healing works of Christ Jesus and for Christian Science and Mrs. Eddy who shared it with the world.
Christian Science was introduced into my home during my early twenties, and very soon I witnessed and experienced healing through the study of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
