I should like to express my gratitude for the many healings I have experienced since taking up the study of Christian Science about sixteen years ago. I turned to this religion when several doctors and a specialist had failed to give me other than temporary relief for a condition named by the specialist as pernicious anemia.

I am deeply grateful that I was able to attend the Christian Science Sunday School and be taught the truth from the time I was three years old. What I was taught there has protected me throughout my life, kept me from wrong decisions and illness, and made me happy.

I have been a student of Christian Science for many years. I have also been a Master Mariner and Harbor Pilot for many years.

In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures , Mary Baker Eddy writes ( p. 227 ): "Christian Science raises the standard of liberty and cries: 'Follow me! Escape from the bondage of sickness, sin, and death!' Jesus marked out the way.

Christian Science has enabled me to meet the many problems of a successful business career. At one point I was not satisfied with my progress in the company I was with, although I was at the head of my department.

Christian Science has been guiding me daily in my work as an elementary school teacher, and before that during my college years. About two years ago I learned the valuable lesson that one should immediately apply Christian Science to problems.

Christian Science came into my life when I was a child, but as something to be used only when one was ill. In other words, it was used in lieu of medicine.

My grandmother took up the study of Christian Science in the early nineteen hundreds. My mother, then in her teens, accepted the teaching, and both spent many years in devotion and consecration to this truth.
