Testimonies of Healing

I wish to express my gratitude for all the good that has come to me through the ministrations of Christian Science. My mother was healed of tuberculosis through reading Science and Health by Mrs.

I should like to express gratitude for Christian Science and especially for the healing of an infected foot. The healing was the result of mental surgery, which took place through the operation of Truth, as we understand it in Christian Science.

What a joyful event it was when I learned through the blessed teachings of Christian Science that we can find harmony, love, health, and holiness—the kingdom of heaven—here and now through spiritual living and thinking! I am grateful for physical healings, including those of hemorrhoids, constipation, influenza, headaches, and effects of accidents. A tendency to allow small things to irritate me, the temptation to blame others if things went wrong, curiosity about the affairs of other people, and the morbid practice of looking back with regret have been banished by a knowledge of their false origin.

With a heart filled with gratitude I wish to testify to the many blessings and healings I have received through Christian Science. During World War II my family and I were in Indonesia.

When Christian Science was first brought to my attention, I was in dire need of help. I had been away from home attending a university, but had been forced to leave because of a nervous condition which resulted in run-down health.

When our first son was born, healthy and strong, the doctor in attendance exclaimed, "Oh, I thought that baby would not be alive!" The Christian Science nurse had previously been a medical nurse, and she later explained that a condition had been manifested, which, according to medical science, results in the death of an infant. The Christian Science practitioner who was helping me was in a city fifteen miles away.

When quite a young woman and a comparatively new student of Christian Science, I married. With this partnership I accepted the responsibility of being a stepmother to four small boys.
