Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science has healed me mentally, morally, and physically. In gratitude I should like to tell of some of my healings.

Our family has been blessed with many healings through the study of Christian Science. However, God's presence has never been clearer to us than during the period we were building a home.

That Christian Science is the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus, I have proved beyond doubt. When my husband passed on suddenly, Truth lifted me completely above the sense of grief, loss, and separation.

Like many others, I am deeply grateful for Mary Baker Eddy's definition of God as Father-Mother. Christian Science has taught me that the loving Parent and creator is entirely free from all that is material and afflictive and that He cannot impart to His spiritual creation, man and the universe, anything which He Himself is not experiencing.

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says (Science and Health, p. 390 ), "When the first symptoms of disease appear, dispute the testimony of the material senses with divine Science.

It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I desire to let others know what Christian Science has done for me. I was reared in an orthodox religion by Christian parents, and I was taught to study the Bible, but I could not understand why God did not answer prayers and heal as in Bible times.

In humble gratitude I can say with Job ( 19:25 ), "I know that my redeemer liveth. " I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian Science home and was healed of numerous so-called childhood ailments.

I would not be here today if it were not for Christian Science. Over twenty years ago I was gaunt and haggard and was losing weight rapidly.

" Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" ( Matt. 6:33 ).

" Gratitude unexpressed is ingratitude. " These words, spoken at a meeting of branch church members which I attended, have remained in my consciousness and now impel me to give my testimony.
