Testimonies of Healing
It is with a sense of deepest gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me that I submit this testimony. Over forty years ago I became interested in Science.
It is with sincere gratitude that I offer this testimony in the hope that it may help others as testimonies have helped me. Before I began the earnest study of Christian Science, I was told that I would never again be able to talk above a whisper.
I am grateful to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. A few days after the birth of a daughter, I suffered a collapse.
Our Master's words ( John 8:32 ), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," have been proved many times in our family's endeavors to apply God's law to human problems. When the healing truth of Christian Science was brought to our attention seventeen years ago, we were faced with many problems— physical, financial, and social.
With humble gratitude for the manifold blessings received through the study of Christian Science, I submit this testimony. A friend who was not a Christian Scientist asked me if I would care to read a wonderful book that had been given to her.
In 1946 I had an operation for a malignant growth which was diagnosed as cancerous. Subsequently I had X-ray therapy and another operation, after which I was told that I now had cancer of the bone.
My gratitude is unbounded for the comfort and protection afforded by the teachings of Christian Science during the hurricanes on the East Coast in the late summer of 1954. Our summer cottage is located in Maine on a large bay near the open ocean.
My heart sings with gratitude for Christian Science, because it is teaching me to leave the dreams of mortal sense for the reality of Soul. Five years ago my husband and I turned to Christian Science when medical science said it could do no more to help him through a nervous breakdown.
