Testimonies of Healing
For many years I have been the recipient of numerous blessings through the study of Christian Science, and I wish to express my gratitude through our periodicals. At one time I became ill and asked to be excused from work.
" O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people" ( Ps. 105: 1 ).
In Job we read ( 11: 14, 15 ): "If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear.
I have had many proofs of the power, activity, and availability of God's law as revealed to us by Mary Baker Eddy. My first testimony appeared in the Journal for January, 1946, and I wish again to express my gratitude.
My heart overflows with gratitude to God, as well as to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the manifold blessings bestowed upon me and mine for many years through the healing and regenerating ministry of Christian Science. The blessing of Christian Science came to me at a very early age when my mother, a pioneer student, enrolled me in the Christian Science Sunday School.
It is with sincere gratitude that I wish to tell of an experience I had about three years ago. I had been to visit a friend.
In the early part of 1954 I was appointed executrix of a small estate. As my task appeared to be rather complicated, I visited an attorney who was acquainted with the case.
When I was a child I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School. Later I drifted away from Science, but I shall always be grateful for the excellent grounding in its teachings which I received in Sunday School, for they stood by me and helped me in many ways during World War II.
" God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. " So wrote Paul in II Corinthians ( 9:8 ), and the truth of his words has been proved to me many times in my own experience.
Although I have been a student of Christian Science but a comparatively short time, I feel that I should give my expression of gratitude for all the good which has unfolded to me through Christian Science. I hope that my experiences will help and encourage others.
