Testimonies of Healing

I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, but because it appealed to me as a reasonable and logical religion. I have had many proofs that Christian Science heals.

When I began studying Christian Science I was very depressed because of circumstances at home and my inability to find employment. This depression disappeared the first time I attended a Christian Science Sunday School, and I felt regenerated by the calm atmosphere prevailing there.

" The day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision" ( Joel 3:14 ). What a comfort it is when we are toiling in this valley to remember that the day of the Lord is always near.

I am very grateful for Christian Science. Membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church has given me a sense of stability and assurance.

A Thanksgiving edition of The Christian Science Monitor was my introduction to Christian Science a little over forty years ago. It was sent to me by my mother, who had placed me in the home of a friend when I was three months old because she had been given up to die of a dread disease.

I was enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School at the age of ten years, and a completely new world unfolded to me. I looked forward to each Sunday with great expectation and joy, because I was eager to learn more of my true identity with our Father-Mother God and to understand better my oneness, or unity, with God, who is Love.
