Testimonies of Healing
" "O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me," sang the Psalmist ( Ps. 30:2 ).
It is with sincere gratitude that I record my testimony regarding many healings received in Christian Science. Since 1919 God has been my only physician.
I should like to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for my family and me and for what it is doing for the entire world. I am especially grateful for the wonderful healing work The Christian Science Monitor is doing in bringing the light of Truth to the world situation.
With heartfelt gratitude I wish to testify to the healing and sustaining power of Christian Science and to the unflinching faith of the practitioners. I had been unable to work for some time and was weak, nervous, discouraged, and filled with fear.
For fifteen years I have benefited from the study and application of Christian Science, and for the blessings received I should like to express my deep appreciation. Christian Science found me at a time when I was utterly dissatisfied with life; it was indeed just what I had been needing.
Out of great gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me I offer this testimony, hoping it may help others as I have so often been helped myself by the published testimonies. Many years ago, while residing in Chile, I became very ill with constant headaches.
I am grateful that for almost thirty years I have continued to gain an increasing understanding of Christian Science and that I am learning more and more to depend on Science for the solution of all my problems. When I lived with my family on a farm some years ago I had many proofs that divine Love cares for the birds and animals.
It is a great privilege for me to express my gratitude for the understanding I have gained through the study of Christian Science of the wonderful truth Jesus taught and demonstrated. Although I was brought up in a home of Christian environment where the teachings of the Bible played an important part in our daily study and living, I never seemed to understand how they might be applied to my daily problems.
Out of a heart filled with gratitude I wish to share with others a healing I had in Christian Science. During World War II it seemed right for me to do extra professional work.
Several years ago through human will power I broke the habit of smoking, to which I had been enslaved since early boyhood. This I did in an attempt to find much-needed health, also joy and peace of mind.
