Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science came into my life when I was a very small child, and I have received many blessings as a result of its application. In 1908 a pioneer of Christian Science came to a small town and started a Christian Science Society.

To me there is no more important reading matter in the whole world than the testimonies given in our periodicals, which tell of Christian Science healing and regeneration. For many years I have read them the very first thing upon receiving the periodicals.

The Preface to the French translation of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy informs us that in September, 1914, a committee in Paris began the French translation of Science and Health. About the same time I was guided in a way that was to lead me in 1917 to see that Christian Science is the way of salvation and regeneration.

Contentment and peace have come to me as a result of my study and application of the teachings of Christian Science. When I first learned of this Science I was suffering from a throat condition.

Recently I was reminded of my testimony published in the Christian Science Sentinel during my college days. Because of the beautiful unfoldment of good and the wonderful blessings which have come to me during the intervening time, I should like again to say, " Thank You, God.

My heart is filled with gratitude for God's great goodness in leading me to Christian Science at a time when everything looked very dark to me. Since then four years have passed, during which period I have had so many blessings that I cannot count them.

So much good has come into my life since I took up the study of Christian Science that I feel I should no longer put off sharing some of my experiences. My first healings were of rheumatism, tonsillitis, and chronic colds.

With a deep sense of love and gratitude I should like to relate some of the many blessings and healings that have come to me through the teachings of Christian Science. Everything that I have I owe to the study and application of the truths given in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

My gratitude for Christian Science is too great to be expressed in words, but I feel I should share some of the blessings which this religion has brought into my life. I was a healthy girl in my teens at the time Christian Science was presented to me by a friend, and my first reaction was a desire to save my friend from having anything to do with it.

For many years I have relied upon God for healing, protection, supply, and happiness. As a child I was subject to all the so-called children's diseases, and I suffered broken bones and other mishaps.
