Testimonies of Healing
The importance of Mary Baker Eddy's poem beginning with the words "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Poems, p. 14 ) was not made clear to me until I realized that man must manifest life not death.
I became a student of Christian Science after it healed me of an eye injury. Because of this injury I was sent by the firm I worked for to an eye specialist.
It is with joy and gratitude in my heart that I write this testimony, hoping that it may bless others as I have been blessed. Almost thirty years ago Christian Science was brought to my attention through the instantaneous healing of my mother.
The coming of Christian Science into my experience was like beautiful sunshine entering a dark room. For over twenty-four years it has comforted, strengthened, corrected, uplifted, and guided me, and in the process it has brought many healings.
Christian Science has helped me to see good everywhere. In seeing good, we are seeing the ever-presence of God.
For the past twenty years Christian Science has been the guiding light in my life. When I have turned wholeheartedly to God my problems have without exception been met.
While I was talking to a friend recently on the subject of gratitude it came to me that I have so much to be grateful for that a testimony from me should be forthcoming. Christian Science has met my every need when the divine Principle of this Science has been earnestly and honestly applied.
I feel that my testimony of the healing of tuberculosis of the lungs is long past due. In 1915 I suffered a complete breakdown.
For nearly fourteen years Christian Science has been my constant help and guide. I first became interested in it through the healing of a friend after she had suffered years of ill-health and had had every type of medical advice.
With gratitude and humility I offer this testimony of my healings, for which I am more grateful than words can express. I owe my life to Christian Science, and I acknowledge my love for its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.
