Testimonies of Healing

When our little daughter was seven years old, she was suddenly seized with convulsions. As the attacks became more frequent and severe, often continuing for several hours without a break, we asked for Christian Science treatment.

It was a great day for our family when we began the earnest study of Christian Science, for we began to learn the wonderful truths contained in the works of Mary Baker Eddy, our revered Leader. My gratitude for the many avenues she established to give this truth to all mankind is inexpressible.

My testimony telling of physical healings was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 9, 1928. In the years which have followed, the great Physician as revealed in Christian Science has been my only healer, and I am daily grateful that I am privileged to bring the healing light of Truth to others.

The understanding that I have gained of Christian Science is worth more to me than all formal education. This Science has brought unlimited blessings into my experience since early childhood.

A statement by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, which frequently comes to my thought, is to be found on page 158 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany. " It reads, "We live in an age of Love's divine adventure to be All-in-all.

" Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits" ( Ps. 103:2 ).

At the turn of the century Christian Science was introduced into our family through the quick healing of my mother of a severe nervous breakdown after medical treatment had failed her. As a last resort she turned for help to a dear friend and neighbor who was a Christian Science practitioner, and improvement in her condition was evident from the start.
