Testimonies of Healing
Each day I have greater cause to rejoice in the healing power of Christian Science. For twenty years this great truth has met my every need when its laws have been rightly applied.
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science, for what it has done for me and mine and for what it is doing for the whole world. I am giving this testimony with the sincere desire that it may help others to have the courage to rely upon this healing truth, which Mrs.
Through the study of Christian Science I have discovered that "in him [God] we live, and move, and have our being" ( Acts 17:28 ). And my rich heritage as an heir of God is being daily unfolded to me.
" What a fathomless wealth lies in the wisdom and knowledge of God," is the translation of Romans 11:33, given in James Moffatt's translation of the Bible. It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science and our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I wish to give thanks for the many blessings I have received.
" The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him" ( Nah. 1:7 ).
It is difficult to find adequate words to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me since it found me several years ago in a deplorable physical condition. Materia medica had pronounced its ultimatum that I would never walk again; or that if by chance I ever did regain my power of locomotion, it would be impossible for me to do any work that required heavy lifting or that necessitated my being on my feet any length of time.
For nearly fifty years I wore glasses, due to a severe case of astigmatism. About ten years ago my sight began to grow steadily worse.
