
Testimonies of Healing
A statement by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, which frequently comes to my thought, is to be found on page 158 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany. " It reads, "We live in an age of Love's divine adventure to be All-in-all.
" Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits" ( Ps. 103:2 ).
At the turn of the century Christian Science was introduced into our family through the quick healing of my mother of a severe nervous breakdown after medical treatment had failed her. As a last resort she turned for help to a dear friend and neighbor who was a Christian Science practitioner, and improvement in her condition was evident from the start.

In humble gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I should like to give the following testimony. One morning our son, who was recovering from an attack of influenza, suddenly and without warning was taken alarmingly ill.
It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God and to the beloved Discoverer, Founder, and forever Leader of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, that I give this testimony. The service of the orthodox church which I attended always seemed vague to me, and I thought of God as a powerful personage in some far-off place.
Christian Science was presented to me over thirty years ago, and it has been my only physician since that time. During my boyhood I attended various Protestant Sunday Schools and churches, but did not find that for which I was seeking.
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I should like to thank God, who led me to Christian Science many years ago. I was not looking for release from sickness, but wanted to know what God is and why we had to wait for the experience called death before we could be truly happy—as I believed we did.
