Testimonies of Healing
It has taken me over eighteen years to write my first testimony, and for this delay I am truly ashamed, as no one has more cause for gratitude for Christian Science than I. Three doctors said I could not possibly live two weeks without an immediate blood transfusion and an operation.

My mother was one of the early pioneers of Christian Science, and her family was brought up to depend entirely upon God for every need. I am grateful for that training and for always having attended a Christian Science Sunday School.
My introduction to Christian Science came when a neighbor, who had been transformed by this law of God, said to me, "Divine Love governs," and I was instantaneously healed of a cold. Not to leave unsung one psalm of gratitude, I wish to briefly indicate some of the manifold blessings that have come into my human experience through the study of Christian Science. I was led to investigate its teachings in my search for a more satisfying basis of thinking than the teachings of a religious orthodoxy or the various theories and philosophies I had studied.
That Christian Science heals both mental and physical discord is a well-known fact. It has been my happy experience to learn of and demonstrate this wonderful truth.
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I tell of a healing of erysipelas after four days' treatment by a practitioner. Forty years ago I was healed instantaneously of a ruptured blood vessel through the work of a Christian Science practitioner. The slightest exertion had caused hemorrhage.
The privilege of being taught the truths of Christian Science in the Sunday School is one of the joys I shall always remember, but it was not until some years later, after many trials and difficulties had been faced, that I really appreciated the wonderful teaching that Mrs. Eddy has given us.
