Testimonies of Healing

It is with loving gratitude for the countless blessings that have come to me through study and application of Christian Science over a period of many years, and to the power of Truth to heal the errors of mortal mind, even so-called incurable habits, that I give this testimony. My earnest desire is that it may reach some receptive hearts so they may be reassured that "Truth is always the victor" ( Science and Health by Mrs.

My gratitude for Christian Science is so coincident with my daily life that I find it difficult to express in a single testimony. Perhaps it can be most helpfully indicated by telling of two incidents, one occurring before, and one after.

A good many milestones have been passed since I received my first healing in Christian Science. I have long desired to send out a testimony in regard to what Science has done for our family, but I could not seem to find words with which to satisfy this desire.

With my heart full of gratitude, I wish to express my thanks to Christian Science for what it has done and is doing for me. When this Science came into my life, I was in a state of semi-invalidism.

I am thankful that my parents early taught me obedience regarding regular attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School, for many blessings have resulted from the teachings I learned to love there. Once during my high school years, I was tempted to attend services in another church part of the time; but I did not continue this arrangement because I knew I was wasting precious periods of instruction which would no longer be available to me after I reached the age of twenty.

For more than twelve years Christian Science has been the only physician in our home. The demonstrations and healings of our seven children have been numerous.

The following quotation from the Bible, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee," turned my weary thought searching for peace and comfort toward the healing truth as given in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Doctors had pronounced my trouble anemia and had said that it would be imperative for me to submit to at least one or two surgical operations before I could regain normal strength and activity.

Some years ago my son came home in a state so serious that a relation sitting in the room exclaimed, "You must take him to the hospital. " At the same moment a voice seemed to say, "You give a treatment.

Many blessings have come to me through the study of Christian Science. I am grateful for many healings and for the peace and joy that are ours through the understanding of God.

I should like to add my testimony in regard to the healing power of Christian Science. In the summer of 1939 I noticed a small growth on the back of my right hand.
