Testimonies of Healing

" To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. " It is with great pleasure that I testify to the truthfulness of this statement as found on page vii of the Preface to the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

Prior to my study of Christian Science, and during those years which marked the passing from girlhood to womanhood, I developed an ailment which, as years went on, became chronic. I was a semi-invalid, spending many of my days in weakness and discouragement.

" The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it" ( Proverbs 10:22 ). For sixteen years, since I became interested in Christian Science, I have been proving the truth of this statement.

" Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. " I am happy to express my gratitude for Christian Science.

I first became interested in Christian Science through the healing of my mother, who had doctored for years for an internal difficulty which the physicians pronounced incurable. In her despair and as a last resort my mother turned to Christian Science for help, and not only was she healed physically, but her nature, which had become morose because of illness, was changed to a joyous one.

Since I began to study Christian Science and apply its teachings my whole life has changed. So much is unfolding in my understanding of God and man that day by day my heart is filled with deeper gratitude for the wonderful gift Mary Baker Eddy bestowed on mankind.

Many years ago I was transferred to a distant city to fill a position as car accountant of a belt-line railroad company, and it was while there among strangers that I became interested in Christian Science. At this time I became very ill from a so-called incurable condition.

Christian Science has brought many blessings into my life, not the least of which are several outstanding physical healings. At the time of my birth, the two doctors in attendance declared that I would never breathe.

Because of the many blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science, I joyfully send this testimony. Mrs.

An increasing appreciation of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and of the Christian Science movement, prompts me to express gratitude for many blessings received through the study of this Science. I had the great privilege of sixteen years of attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School.
