Testimonies of Healing

Many blessings have been mine since I began the study of Christian Science in 1899. I am deeply grateful for our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, whose unfailing obedience to God enabled her to discern the revelation of divine Mind.

Since the testimonies of the healing power of Truth which I read in a copy of The Christian Science Journal were my first real contact with Christian Science, I have long felt that I should like to express gratitude through these pages for all that the truth, as revealed by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has brought to me. From childhood I was in bondage to one or more physical ailments.

In the Bible we read, "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. " My heart is filled with gratitude to God for the countless times that I have been comforted and blessed through the study and application of Christian Science.

A number of years ago, when I was a very young student of Christian Science, I experienced the recurrence, in a severe form, of an old condition resulting from an accident. I worked as best I knew how at that time, but the difficulty was not mastered.

Those who love Christian Science as much as I do, cannot study very long without feeling the joyful desire to share with others the blessings which Christian Science has brought to them. It is therefore with a heart full of gratitude and love that I submit the following experiences.

I wish to express my deep and sincere appreciation for Christian Science, and for what it has done for me. I should like to tell how a smiling face led me to a Christian Science church and saved my life.

I am another living witness to the truth that Christian Science heals. When I was led to Christian Science for help I could not see.

As Christian Scientists "we acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God," as one of our Tenets says (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494) , "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.

In the Bible we read: "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?.
