Testimonies of Healing

My first healing in Christian Science took place when my son was six months old. I was still under the care of physicians, having been able to walk only at intervals since his birth, and in constant and extreme pain.

I wish to testify to the many blessings that have come into my life as a result of the study and application of Christian Science. My introduction to Christian Science came through the healing of eczema.

Christian Science , the greatest blessing I have ever known, came into my life about fifteen years ago, at a time when I was experiencing a deep mental upheaval. It brought peace, quietness, courage, and strength to go on when life had not seemed worth while.

Over a long period of years I have been witnessing and experiencing the healing and liberating effects of Christian Science. When this Science was first brought to my attention I was a registered medical nurse, and because there were no recognized Christian Science nurses in those days I was occasionally called to care for those who were under Science treatment.

That "man's extremity is God's opportunity" I have found to be true. I tried just about everything for acid indigestion, and obtained temporary relief, but no permanent cure.

When I was a child I became a member of one of the Protestant churches, but as I grew older and began to think and reason for myself I could not accept its teachings. I felt that there surely must be a better explanation of God and His universe than that which had been presented to me, so I drifted away from that church.

Seventeen years ago, I was an invalid suffering from stomach and heart trouble. Physicians who were attending me had said I should never be well and was in danger of passing on at any time.

Twenty-six years ago our family physician said he could do no more for me. It was then that I remembered that a friend had taken me to a Christian Science testimony meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.

Christian Science came to our home over thirty-eight years ago, and during that time has proved to be the great and only physician, healing mental, physical, moral, and financial difficulties. At that time I was a mental and physical wreck, with the verdict of incurability put upon me.

For about twenty-eight years Christian Science has met my every need, for which I am unspeakably grateful. I have had many healings through radical reliance on Truth as taught by Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
