Many blessings have come to me through the study of Christian Science. I am grateful for many healings and for the peace and joy that are ours through the understanding of God.
Recently when moving to a new state I was healed of all feeling of separation and loneliness. A day or two after our arrival, our son, eight years of age, had a badly infected finger. It grew worse and became quite painful, and I found myself becoming fearful. I felt at a loss, in a strange city where I did not know any practitioners, and had no friends. Then I realized that I lacked nothing, for God was always here, and that was all the boy or I needed. I went to my books and studied diligently with the result that fear was lifted. We talked about God and cause and effect, and I felt then that the healing was accomplished, although the material senses did not agree. The next day my husband was a little concerned about the finger, but we did our regular work and the boy suffered no more from it. The next day it opened and drained, and this was a proof to me that good is continually operating for man.
This experience helped me so much to rely on God and know He is available at all times in all places. I am grateful for all the activities of Christian Science, for the churches that are available to us, and for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. I am grateful for Mrs. Eddy, whose unselfed life has given us a demonstrable religion, and for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and I can never express enough gratitude for the Christian Science practitioners, who are always ready to help us when the way seems dark. — North Hollywood, California.
