Testimonies of Healing
Having received so much benefit from reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, I should like to give mine. The many years that I have been trying to be a Christian Scientist have helped me to be a better woman.
We may often pause, in the days of our pilgrimage from sense to Soul, reverently to give thanks for all the good that has come to us in proving that God is. "Giving" and "serving" are the watchwords, so again I can give testimony to the efficacy of this healing truth and to what Christian Science has done for me.
I should like to add my expression of gratitude to that of thousands who have been blessed through the understanding and application of Christian Science. It is the only religion I have ever known, and it has never failed to solve my human problems whenever thoroughly tried and whenever solely relied upon for help.
About two months after I had taken up the study of Christian Science our youngest daughter became severely ill with tonsillitis. In the summer of 1912, I accepted an invitation to attend my first Christian Science church service. While my friend was extending this invitation and explaining a little about Christian Science, I was healed of constipation.

This humble effort to express my gratitude for Christian Science is also given with a sincere desire that it will help others. I took up the study of Christian Science rather gradually, first attending the Sunday services, and occasionally reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
" To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. " This statement by Mrs.
Over thirty years ago the best specialists in the state in which I was then living told me that there was absolutely nothing more they could do for me, and the family physician said, "If you were my own wife, I could not do more than I have tried to do for you. " The picture that presented itself was most disfiguring and developed a sense of false pride and irritation.
