Testimonies of Healing

For the many blessings which I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science I am most grateful, and I take this opportunity to share some of these blessings with others. My first healing occurred about eighteen years ago.

It is with deep gratitude to our Father-Mother God for Christian Science and for the help which I have received through reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals that I wish to share the following experience. For some time it has been my happy privilege to serve as Sunday school superintendent in a branch church.

It is a pleasure to acknowledge the great benefits which have come to me through Christian Science. It is about fifty years since I began to investigate it.

It is with great gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. After seeking physical healing through the medium of materia medica for over twenty years and finally being told by a learned doctor that medical treatment could not cure me, I turned to Christian Science to learn more of its healing power.

A few years ago my eyes began to bother me a great deal. There were periods lasting for several days and coming every two weeks, sometimes oftener, when they ached so badly and were so inflamed and bloodshot that it seemed very difficult to use them.

I have neglected all too long the duty and privilege of recording some of the great benefits that have accrued to me through Christian Science. In my youth I was closely connected with the Church of England, being confirmed therein and serving as a chorister for some ten years.

That Christian Science heals has been proved repeatedly to me during twenty-five years. I began the study of its literature in order to help someone who was struggling under a condition of insanity which materia medica had not healed.

My gratitude for Christian Science impels me to send my testimony in the hope that it will help others as I have been helped by the many testimonies that I have both read and heard during the last six years. I have been healed of numerous difficulties, such as grief when parents passed on, burst varicose veins, and colds; and a lost diamond ring was returned.

" O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things. " It is with joy that I join this song of praise to God, adding my gratitude for this practical religion, Christian Science, and for the privilege of the three members of our family having membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.

I shall never cease to be grateful for my first healing in Christian Science, because it provided me with an indisputable proof that the healing and redeeming power of divine Love is as active and potent now as it was at the time of Jesus. I was in great pain and was confronted with an operation for a chronic stomach complaint.
