Testimonies of Healing
When I was a child I attended the Sunday school of an orthodox church of which my parents were members. There was also a Christian Science Sunday School within walking distance, which I was permitted to attend at will.
I am grateful that through the study and application of Christian Science thousands are in some measure learning to answer the question, "What is truth?" For several years I had searched for a practical religion. Membership in an orthodox Protestant church had long ceased to meet my ever-expanding spiritual needs.

I was led to Christian Science after deep, conscientious prayer at a time when I was greatly in need of physical healing. The doctors had diagnosed the condition as seven impacted vertebrae, the effect of my being thrown from a horse.
More than ten years ago it was my privilege to have a testimony published in the Sentinel. Since then, I have experienced so many blessings that I wish to testify again, hoping that I may give help and comfort as I have received them, through our periodicals.
It is with a heart full of humble gratitude that I write this testimony of the healing power of Christian Science evidenced in my own experience as well as in that of many others. This Science was first presented to me in the year 1901.
Through this testimony I wish to express my gratitude for the great blessings I have received since I learned of Christian Science five years ago. It was my wife who first began the study, and seeing the happy results she had, I was in turn drawn to this Science.
Because I find myself associated again with men in the Army, I have vividly recalled many instances of God's loving protection and guidance during my service in the first World War. Divine Love often kept me from temptations of the flesh, and in many other respects made my path easier.

Opportunity has been afforded me many times throughout the intervening years to prove the truths I learned there, and it is a real joy to testify to the efficacy of this demonstrable Science, as given us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
