Testimonies of Healing

The beautiful words of healing and gratitude contained in the testimonies published in the periodicals have contributed much to my growth and healings. I also wish to add a paean of praise for the innumerable benefits I have received during a period of over thirty years.

It is with sincere joy that I confirm the statements of my daughter. Christian Science has been a shining light in my life for many years, and I am most sincerely grateful.

When I asked for a Christian Science treatment I did not have the slightest expectation of being healed or even helped, for I knew nothing of it or its teachings. In one treatment, however, I was healed of what several physicians had pronounced gout, but none of them had been able to heal.

Until I was twenty years old I attended the Christian Science Sunday School, during which time I received innumerable healings, as well as help in obtaining employment at a time when it did not seem to be easy to find. My gratitude is great to God.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has meant to me the past seventeen years. Before coming into Christian Science I believed in "a God afar off.

I wish to express my gratitude for all that is mine of joy and health, and for the change of thought and character that has come about for me since I took up the study of Christian Science about fourteen years ago. At that time a friend placed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in my hand, asking if I knew anything of it.

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Through its study I have learned that to "pray without ceasing" is a practical possibility.

In gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mary Baker Eddy, I give this testimony. During the past fifteen years I have been bountifully blessed and benefited by the study and application of Christian Science.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Over four years ago I was supposedly in a very serious condition.

One of the things I am most grateful for is that early in my experience I was forced to use what little I knew of Christian Science. I had been studying for little more than a year when my husband felt led to go to Boston to seek healing for a disease considered serious.
