Testimonies of Healing

Mere words could never express my gratitude for Christian Science, because all the good that is in my life today I owe directly to this Science. When it first came to me.

In gratitude for the healing Christ, and for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who revealed the Christ to us, I give this testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. Recently my son, aged fifteen, was experimenting with a quantity of gunpowder, when without warning it exploded, severely burning his face, neck, ears, eyes, and nose.

In loving gratitude for Christian Science, I submit my testimony. A few years ago I was physically weak and incapacitated, mentally nervous and burdened; was suffering from eyestrain, and wore glasses; was depleted financially, having no visible means of support and living with relatives.

I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to my family and me through Christian Science. This Science was first brought to us some twelve years ago, when our son was in what was considered a very delicate state of health.

For the wonderful help that has been mine through Christian Science. I herewith give thanks with all my heart.

Christian Science came to me twenty-seven years ago, and whenever I think of my greatest blessings, I find that they have occurred during those years. Healings of double pneumonia, when I found what it meant to pass "through the valley of the shadow of death" and to "fear no evil"; of neuritis; and of constant attacks of tonsillitis, were among the many blessings experienced.

In 1910, my first copy of the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was sent to me by a relative, to whom I had appealed for financial aid.
