Testimonies of Healing

Many times when I have been tempted to entertain thoughts of weariness or depression I have found surcease and satisfaction through a perusal of the testimonies found in The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, or in the chapter "Fruitage" in our beloved textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It is in the hope that my experiences may be of benefit to those seeking encouragement and help that I am writing this testimony.

It is with deep gratitude for all Christian Science means to me that I give this testimony. My parents became interested in Christian Science when I was a young boy, and ever since then I have continued its study.

I am grateful for this opportunity to express my gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for her gift of Christian Science to the world. Healings such as those of influenza, athlete's foot, headaches, depressed business conditions, and many others have come to me through the loving help of practitioners, while others have come through my study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

I came to Christian Science, not for physical healing, but because I had witnessed my sister's healing of organic trouble some thirty years ago. She had been to many physicians, who told her they could do no more for her.

For twenty years Christian Science has met my every need. It has comforted me when loved ones have passed on.

I am reminded today of my deep debt of gratitude to all Christian pioneers and prophets; to Christ Jesus, our dear Master; and to Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved Leader. I am grateful to loving Christian Science practitioners for their help; to all dear workers in this service, and for class instruction, which has promoted my well-being by showing me the importance of consecrated, systematic study of our textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

With a joyful heart I should like to give thanks for the innumerable blessings which have come to me through God's infinite love since He led me to Christian Science. In 1933 I had a serious attack of pain in the region of the gall bladder.

I wish to express gratitude for Christian Science by sharing the testimony of my son's healing of hay fever. Inasmuch as changes of climate afforded but temporary relief, I became depressed.

Nearly twenty years ago I sought divine guidance through Christian Science. I was healed of semi-invalidism and of a toxic goiter with all its train of ills.

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has written on page vii of the Preface to Science and Health, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. " Our days are indeed full of blessings when we lean on God and come to know Him in the light of Christian Science.
