Testimonies of Healing

Among the many healings I have experienced in Christian Science was one of defective hearing. Medical reports had been very discouraging; tonsils and the middle turbinated bone of the nose had been removed, but the infection remained.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the many benefits we have received from Christian Science in the four years I have studied it. When our little son was about three months of age, he gradually became very ill.

I was first attracted to Christian Science by realizing how greatly its teachings had helped some friends in a time of bereavement. These friends obtained for me a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

I have long wished to express through our periodicals my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Several years ago I had a beautiful healing of pneumonia with the aid of a practitioner.

In this time of seeming turmoil and restlessness, of conflicting ideologies and dogmas, I wish to express through this testimony my deep gratitude for Christian Science. Its teachings have proved to be a stronghold of faith, courage, and assurance in my life, and a day never passes in which I do not find myself becoming increasingly grateful for the spiritual love which inspired Mary Baker Eddy to impart to the world the satisfying revelation of the Science of Christ, Truth.

Christian science has brought me many blessings, and I am deeply grateful for them all. The one I am most thankful for is the understanding which I am gaining of God as divine Principle, Life, Truth, and Love, and which I can demonstrate in my daily life.

While passing through an experience of broken home ties, before knowing anything of Christian Science, I prayed the prayer of David, "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. " A few years later, feeling that I was not progressing spiritually, although attending an orthodox church of which I was a member, I prayed earnestly to God that He would show me the way to a better understanding of Him.

For more than twenty-five years I have depended on Christian Science in solving my problems, and as a result many blessings and healings have come to me and my family. Among the physical healings which I have experienced have been those of chilblains and tonsillitis, which presented themselves every winter.

Many times the desire has come to me to express, through the pages of our periodicals, my gratitude to God for Christian Science. Christian Science was first presented to me over thirty years ago, when I was physically and mentally in need of help.

For over twenty-five years I have enjoyed the benefits which come to us through the study and application of Christian Science, and words cannot sufficiently express my gratitude for the blessings I have received, and for the freedom it offers to the whole world, especially freedom from fear. I became interested in this Science through the loving offer of a neighbor to lend me some of the Christian Science literature, which I eagerly accepted.
