I would join others in giving thanks for the wonderful healing which came to me last year through Christian Science. I had suffered for twenty-nine years with varicose veins in a severe form; and although I was under medical treatment continuously, I experienced no healing, but rather went through great suffering. Last summer I again became afflicted with this trouble, and a serious inflammation kept me in bed for six weeks. Medical means afforded no relief; then a Christian Scientist called on us, as if by chance, but as I now see, through divine Providence. She told us of the wonderful healing done through Christian Science, and recommended that we read Der Herold der Christian Science, to which we then subscribed.
As there was no Christian Science practitioner in the locality where I spent last summer visiting my daughter-in-law, I had to apply to a Christian Science practitioner in Berlin for absent treatment. It was most kindly taken up; and whereas I had been laid up for six weeks in a helpless condition, now there was quick and steady improvement, so that within a short time I was able to return to my home in Charlottenburg completely healed, and with a heart full of joy and gratitude to God for the blessed activities of Christian Science. Since then I have been entirely free from the old trouble. I have discarded bandages and everything, and my heart is filled with joy and gratitude for all the blessings I have experienced mentally and physically through Christian Science.— Charlottenburg, Germany.
