In April, 1910, Christian Science came to me, and with a heart full of gratitude I will tell what it has done for me. During nine years I had been in a condition of weakness, as if weights were laid on my shoulders, and all exercise fatigued me. My sister, who lives in Amsterdam, told me that there were people who could help me. She had called on a Christian Science practitioner and got some phamphlets and a Sentinel. I had never before heard of this teaching, but after reading the literature I felt that Christian Science would help me, so I decided to take treatment. For three months I was five days of each week in Amsterdam, and every day I spoke with the practitioner, who gave me treatment and with the greatest love helped me to get a better understanding of the Bible through our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. After three months' treatment I felt that I could go on alone by studying these books, and I now feel strong and full of energy, as I know God is my strength, my refuge, my helper in all needs.
This was the physical healing, but through the study of Christian Science life has become full of joy and happiness. I am thankful to God for all His loving care, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who gave us our textbook.— Hilversum, Holland.
